New Mexico

New Mexico is a leader in the U.S. Southwest when it comes to advancing clean energy and protecting our climate. The state has established a Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) of 15% by 2015 and 20% by 2020. The state's Environmental Improvement Board (EIB) is also moving forward with adopting the Clean Car standards to improve the fuel efficiency of vehicles sold in the state. Though there are several "Cool Cities" in New Mexico, there are active campaigns in Albuquerque and Santa Fe only. We need you! Please sign up to volunteer with the closest Cool Cities campaign or let us help you start one in your community!
